The Journey Begins

A few weeks ago, I woke up from an intense, incredibly vivid dream. It was so detailed that after I told my partner about it, we both realized it could easily become a book. So what did I do? I started writing one.

Progress has been a little slower than I hoped because I’ve been recovering from a concussion, but the story is coming along beautifully.

So… what’s the book about? I don’t want to reveal too much yet, but it’s a horror novel with strong cosmic and cult elements—something you might expect from H.P. Lovecraft or Stephen King. The world-building is deep, the lore is intricate, and every character has a fully fleshed-out backstory—so much so that each of them could probably star in their own novel.

The story follows a young woman named Naomi, who begins to uncover a dark family secret that has been haunting her though her entire life without her knowledge. She learns she has a destiny so terrifying that no one who knows the truth will speak of it. Forced to investigate on her own, Naomi embarks on a journey that leads her to a moment of impossible choice. Will she make the ultimate self-sacrifice, or will she turn away from her fate and doom humanity in the process?

I’m hoping to release Chapter One by the end of next week, so stay tuned! I currently have seven plot points outlined for the chapter and am expanding them into a readable first draft.
